This five-vineyard blend of 40% Grenache Blanc, 21% Viognier, 19% Roussanne, 15% Marsanne and 5% Clairette Blanche begins with chalky aromas of Key lime pith and seared peach on the nose. There's a citrusy blast to the sip, where light melon-rind and wet rock flavors are lifted by jasmine on the long finish.

Light, bright yellow. Ripe orchard and pit fruits, honey and a building floral note on the perfumed nose. In a round, silky and open-knit style, displaying very good heft and surprising energy to the subtly sweet pear and peach nectar and honeysuckle flavors. Finishes long and smooth, with more pit fruit and repeating florality.

A beautiful, classic white from this team is the 2020 Patelin De Tablas Blanc, which is 40% Grenache Blanc, 21% Viognier, 19% Roussanne, and the rest Marsanne and Clairette. Nicely concentrated and medium-bodied, with beautiful notes of lemon curd, white flowers, and some toasty nuances, I'd gladly drink a bottle.
