Dark garnet red. Elegant, round nose with lingering fruity, spicy, balsamic and mineral undertones. Strong, warm body, with powerful aromas and well-balanced flavours. Long, intense finish. Lends itself to lengthy ageing, with a cellar life even extending to over fifteen years. Pairings: roast veal, rump steak cooked in Barolo wine, mature cheeses.

The 2019 Barolo Ginestra offers additional layers of complexity without getting muddied in its richness. Notes of sweet tobacco, cassis, and tarry earth are luring and contemplative. Fleshy, full-bodied, and mouthwatering, it is rich without being heavy, with sweet tannins and notes of potting soil, dried purple flowers, and cherry pit. It is firmly structured and will need time to open a bit. Drink 2025-2045.
