Elouan Pinot Noir 2016
Those who enjoy Joe Wagner's California-style Pinot Noirs will find this quite comfortable. Its tart wild berry fruit comes with a plush streak of vanilla. Some coffee and tobacco highlights follow. There's plenty of power and flavor, but don't look for varietal specificity.
Well-knit and approachable, with delicate raspberry and spice flavors. Drink now through 2022. 19,650 cases made.
Sickly sweet and disturbingly viscous in texture, with a finish that, unfortunately, doesn't want to let up. It was a thankless chore to taste this beverage, which is apparently made from grapes.
